DIRFloortime®

What is DIRFloortime®?

DIRFloortime® is an evidence-based approach that supports individuals with neurodevelopmental differences. It is used to help children with a range of emotional, sensory, motor, and developmental challenges. DIRFloortime® harnesses the power of relationships to strengthen capacities for regulating, engaging, and communicating.

D = Developmental Capacities

I = Individual Differences

R = Relationship

Floortime = getting down on the floor (or wherever your child may be!) to join in your child’s interests and expand their developmental skills

What are developmental capacities?

These capacities form the foundation for our learning and development as well as our sense of self. We all move up and down this ladder from moment to moment and day to day. Defining Development supports your child in reaching higher developmental skills.
